Pusha T Sits Down With Pharrell & Scott Vener to Discuss His New Album
Fellow Virginia natives Fam-Lay & D.R.A.M. also join the party.
G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T hasn’t dropped an album in over a year since King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude. But during his recent appearance on Pharrell Williams and Scott Vener‘s OTHERtone on Beats 1 Radio, Pusha T told the pair he’s ready to “get back in the ring.” Providing some details on his upcoming album, King Push stated, “I’m working on my album right now, it’s entitled King Push. I just left Pharrell yesterday, so I’m just waiting on him to give me these last couple heatrocks.” Pharrell quickly chimes in with, “The album is crazy. It’s definitely crazy.”
The new episode also has Pharrell and Pusha praising each other’s raps skills and digging deep into Virginia’s rap history and its future. Fellow Virginia natives Fam-Lay and D.R.A.M. also make an appearance on Sunday’s show. No word yet on a specific release date for the album.
Early this year, Pusha T released the track “Enough” with Flume. King Push will also be featured on Gorillaz’s upcoming Humanz album.
