Justin Timberlake has teamed up with American Express to create a special merchandise app known as OUTSIDE IN. Billed as a” shoppable, mixed reality music experience,” the retail app guides users through a unique retail journey that allows dedicated fans to purchase Man of the Woods products that fit in with the themes of the specific Justin Timberlake song they’re listening to. The Man of the Woods merchandise line includes contributions from Levi’s, Heron Preston, Pendleton and other high-profile brands and designers.

“It’s been incredible collaborating with American Express throughout the Man Of The Woods partnership,” reads a statement from Justin Timberlake. “We surprised fans and Card Members with exclusive first listens of the album leading up to its release and are excited to connect on a deeper level with the OUTSIDE IN experience on the American Express Music app. The first-of-its-kind, mixed reality experience uses cutting-edge technology to bring me directly to my fans; walk them through the concept of my new album and provide access to purchase specially designed merch in collaboration with Levi’s, Heron Preston, Ryan McGinley and more.”

To properly use the OUTSIDE IN app, American Express cardholders will have to click on the “Shop of the Woods neon sign” and use their card to purchase the items.

Last month, Justin Timberlake released his Air Jordan 3 in Toronto.
