Grimes Is "Halfway Done" With a New Project
Could we see a new Grimes album by year’s end?
Grimes has revealed that she’s already halfway through a new album process. Elaborating on what she’s been working on, Grimes divulged to Rolling Stone that she’s “halfway done with another record.” Elaborating, she says, “I’m not committing to anything, but I have a bunch of b-sides I kind of want to finish. Plus, I’ve been making a bit of new music.” Regarding the actual sound of the music she’s been creating, Grimes shared the following statement:
“With Art Angels, it was all like [growls],” the singer/songwriter/producer explained. “This would be more chill vibes, downtempos, synth-y shit. That makes it sound boring. It’s not boring.”
She also revealed plans to release some sort of “B-sides” version of her Art Angels album, saying that there were tracks she “seriously considered for Art Angels,” but didn’t make the final cut because they “f*cked with the momentum when I tried to put them on the record.”
