Japanese label TTT_MSW debuted its Fall/Winter 2018 collection at Amazon Tokyo Fashion Week, marking 24-year-old designer Shota Tamada’s first-ever runway show. The collection’s “mafia” theme was represented by a diverse lineup of models — street cast and selected from creative collectives — that emerged from the backseat of a car that seemingly crashed in a recreated hayfield.

Modern outfits featuring reworked suiting, sateen button-down shirts, streamlined streetwear staples, faux fur coats, many-pocketed cargo pants and buckle-belts walked down the runway, which was covered in dead grass and leaves, and assisted by an artificial rainstorm. The belt buckles featured the letters “HEPD,” which stands for the fictional mafia “Half Eyes Purple Dragon.” A strong neutral color palette was accented with bolder hues such as lime green, orange and muted pastels, while an interesting use of texture created more contrast.

HYPEBEAST Japan went backstage of the TTT_MSW Fall/Winter 2018 runway to give a behind-the-scenes view of the show and a detailed look at the collection pieces.
