Japanese luggage and accessories brand HEAD PORTER just announced a collaborative release with Amsterdam-based artist Rop Van Mierlo. As part of HEAD PORTER’s 20th-anniversary celebration, the collection arrives in three styles of tote bags, all featuring the artist’s signature bled-out watercolor paint style.
Having worked with brands like Hermes and Marni, it was actually the Dutch artist’s book “Wild Animals” that gave prominence to his style of painted animals, which are now featured on this canvas collection via six animals — the koala, zebra, leopard, duck, dog and fox. Two of the styles are done in only durable canvas material with button closures, while four see leather detailing with zipper closures. Ranging from ¥25,000 - ¥32,000 JPY (approximately $235 – $300 USD), the entire collection is set to hit HEAD PORTER Tokyo, Osaka, and online stores on March 29.
For more PORTER news, the bag brand has just teamed up with A BATHING APE for a special camo wallet and sachosh.
