It has just been announced that Monae will be starring in a lead role in the forthcoming drama Space Race, a film about a trio of women who played integral, essential parts in the famous Space Race. For the movie, Janelle Monae will portray Mary Jackson, a renowned ’60s mathematician who worked for NASA.
