Future Is the First Artist With Back-To-Back No. 1 Album Debuts

Congratulations, Future. With the Atlanta rapper’s latest album HNDRXX debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, Future Hendrix just became the first artist with back-to-back No. 1 album debuts. Last week, his self-titled LP also landed on top of the charts. This makes Future the first-ever musician to score back-to-back No. 1s in consecutive weeks in Billboard’s 61-year history. According to Nielson Music, HNDRXX moved 121,000 equivalent album units during its opening week, with 48,000 in traditional album sales and 74,000 in streams. HNDRXX is the Freebandz general’s fifth No. 1 album.
