DeMar Derozan Unveils Nike Kobe 1 Protro "Mamba Day"
Toronto Raptors also snapped the Houston Rockets’ win streak at 17 games.
During the Toronto Raptors defeat over the Houston Rockets last night, March 9, DeMar Derozan debuted a shoe from Kobe Bryant’s retro sneaker line. The All-Star shooting guard was wearing the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “Mamba Day” that may get a public release later this year. The reworked shoe features Kobe’s Achilles stitch lines on the left heel, while the right heal reads “4.13.18,” the 2-year anniversary of Bryant’s final game.
Last month, DeRozan flaunted a new iteration of his Kobe A.D. sneakers. That particular shoe model marked the first ever Canadian debut of an NBA Player Edition sneaker from Foot Locker and Nike.
DeRozan scored 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the Raptors’ 108-105 victory, snapping the 17-game win streak of the Rockets.
