Caribou, Hot Chip, Simian Mobile Disco, Junior Boys & Floating Points Members Team Up For New Album
Performing the 1973 Frank McCarthy score, ‘Tactus Tempus.’

Members of Caribou, Floating Points, Simian Mobile Disco, Hot Chip, and Junior Boys are uniting for a brand new album. The artists and musicians will be performing the 1973 experimental score Tactus Tempus, which was originally created by composer Frank McCarty. The members linked up in London in July 2016 at Joe Goddard‘s basement studio. Each player on the record utilized a separate synthesizer while original slides from McCarty’s work were projected for them to see. Two versions of the pieces were recorded, each on captured in one 15-minute take. Check out the art via Pitchfork and make sure to get your copy of the album when it’s out on March 17 on Bandcamp (via Geej Recordings) and March 24 everywhere else.
