Apple Announces Education Event for Students in March
To introduce “creative new ideas for teachers and students.”

Apple has announced a March 27 event focusing on “creative new ideas for teachers and students,” in Chicago. Most believe the newer, cheaper MacBooks Apple is working on is an entry-level laptop for educational purposes. This comes after Chicago’s Board of Education included computer science as a graduation requirement for all public schools.
The 13.3-inch notebook with Retina Display is expected to start at $999 USD, with rumors of an entry-level iPad in the works as well. Some even speculate the announcement could be based on the iPad or Apple Pencil given the look of the invitation photo. In related news, Apple‘s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) has been confirmed for a June return.
