This Tesla-Honda Hybrid Goes From 0-60 MPH in 2.7 Seconds
The “Teslonda.”
Since the inception of Tesla‘s electric vehicle series, automotive fanatics have lauded the performance of Elon Musk’s unique high-velocity drive unit.
Looking to test unorthodox setups using the drive unit that converts energy into wheel motion, Tesla hacker Jason Hughes recently created a Frankenstein-esque Tesla-Honda hybrid. Hughes installed salvaged parts from Tesla Model S and Model X vehicles into a vintage Honda Accord body to create what he calls the “Teslonda.” Able to reach 0 to 60 in just 2.7 seconds, the “Teslonda” utilizes a Chevy Volt battery, which allows for more electricity to flow from the battery to the motor.
Watch the “Teslonda” tear up the streets above and let us know what you think about the monster hybrid. For more automotive news, Tesla was recently accused of illegally reselling damaged cars.
