Centering around the UltraBOOST Mid silhouette, the Consortium Prototype offers an eye-grabbingly bold colorway alongside some updated design features. The upper is crafted entirely from lightweight knit, streamlined by removing any unnecessary textiles. The heel pull tab has been removed from the ankle opening, instead of looping behind it, and extra colorblocking is created by blending the toe and side panels together.
Expect the sneaker to hit Consortium accounts in May for $220 USD. With an UltraBOOST Mid recently issued as part of the latest Reigning Champ collaboration, adidas continues to innovate on its forthcoming releases — recently, Y-3 teasing a revised 4D Futurecraft runner.
