$UICIDEBOY$ Are The Independent Movement to Watch

New Orleans act $UICIDEBOY$ are the independent rap duo to keep an eye on in 2016. Their aesthetic and sounds mixes unflinchingly-honest bars about being a junkie and Roxicodone with narratives and beats that wouldn’t feel out of place on an old Memphis record. Their background and ethos is indebted to crust and punk as much as it is Lil Wayne. That combination has earned the hordes of fans across the internet and beyond, cultivating an indie movement similar to that of Bones and TeamSESH. Fresh off the release of their latest free project Dark Side of the Clouds, the pair serve up a visual for album cut “Jon Voight (Live Fast, Die Young).” It comes directly following the release of other videos for songs such as Dark Side of the Clouds closer ”ANTARTICA.” Check out the clip for “JON VOIGHT” above.
