Round Two‘s Sean Wotherspoon and his contest-winning Air Max 1/97 sneaker saw a hyperstrike release back in November, but the “Vote Forward” hybrid is seeing its official re-release through the SNKRS app.
For those unaware, the Sean Wotherspoons are a hybrid mashup of an Air Max 1 sole unit with an Air Max 97 upper to create the aptly titled AM1/97. The outer is clad with a harlequin pattern of corduroy materials that contrasts against the white midsole, but continue the rainbow motif on the quad-colored outsole. The initial drop sold out in seconds, leaving the sneaker to reach grail status in availability and resale pricing, but this re-release will surely both appease and frustrate collectors, depending on how they’ll utilize them.
