Black Panther director Ryan Coogler recently took part in a video for Vanity Fair where he broke down a pivotal scene in the film. Spoilers to follow, so read on with caution.
Coogler talks specifically about a scene from the 2nd act of the film, when T’Challa, Okoye and Nakia (Chadwick Boseman, Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyongo respectively) are on a mission to capture Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) and a fight scene ensues. In the near 10-minute clip, Coogler breaks down the meaning of their outfits, how certain moments were choreographed and what their respective fight styles told you about the characters.
