LVMH Unveils Semi-Final Shortlist for 2018 Young Designers Prize
A-COLD-WALL* is in the running.
The LVMH young designer prize has reached the semi-final stage for 2018 and 20 designers have made the cut. The final selection was whittled down from over 1,300 applicants in total, with head of the selection committee Delphine Arnault saying in a press release “With this Prize, LVMH confirms its ongoing commitment to supporting young fashion designers and places the spotlight on tomorrow’s talents.”
There’s several notable names included, such as A-COLD-WALL*, GmBH, Eckhaus Latta and Charles Jeffrey Loverboy among several others. The eight finalists will be decided during March 1 and March 2, when the semi-finalists will have to give a presentation in front of a judging committee that includes the likes of Haider Ackermann, J.W. Anderson, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquire and Christian Dior Couture’s Maria Grazia Chiuri. The winner of the prize will be awarded during June at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris.
