Kendrick Lamar Will Induct N.W.A. Into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
This is huge.
At this point, Kendrick Lamar might actually be getting used to all the constant honors he receives. However, this next one is huge even by his standards. Stereogum is reporting that Kendrick Lamar is set to induct his hometown heroes N.W.A. into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Kendrick Lamar will join artists and acts such as The Black Keys and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich in inducting the legends selected for this year’s class. This year’s selections were initially announced at the very end of last year. Speaking on his group’s induction, Ice Cube said, “it means a lot of things. It means that the group’s mark is kind of solidified. It’s all legitimized in a way because the whole music industry has to honor the group in a way … everyone now at this point, no matter how you feel about us, understands what the group actually did and what it means to modern music.” Out of the five acts chosen to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year, N.W.A.’s inclusion probably makes for the most headlines.
