Alternate Version of Jamie xx & Four Tet's "Seesaw" Surfaces
Jamie xx and Four Tet should make an album together.
Four Tet and Jamie xx should seriously consider linking up for an entire joint album. With both artists continuing to reach higher creative heights, Four Tet has unveiled an “alternate,” previously-unreleased version of his collaboraiton with Jamie xx and his The xx bandmate, Romy. This new spin on “Seesaw” is described by Four Tet as “another version I did last year to DJ with… different drums and mix and arrangement.” From the sound of things, both this one and the original are neck-in-neck in terms of quality. The initial release of “Seesaw” found its home on Jamie xx’s stellar 2015 effort In Colour, where it became one of the LP’s several great collaborations.
