A decade ago, James Yancey — better known as J Dilla — celebrated his 32nd birthday with Donuts. The producer’s ninth LP, Donuts received universal acclaim upon its release and is now considered by many to be his magnum opus as its beats were reappropriated by everyone from Drake, Nas, Big Sean, and Lupe Fiasco to The Roots, Busta Rhymes, MF DOOM, Talib Kweli, Q-Tip and more; Donuts was an instant classic and only continues to grow in importance following Dilla’s unexpected death.

Yesterday marked 10 years to the day of his death and, to pay homage to the late great, Flying Lotus linked up with dublab to drop an exclusive live mix. A fitting tribute to Dilla’s legacy, the mix includes “hip-hop, rare grooves (some of which were sampled by Dilla and Madlib), exotic international records, and a few of Dilla’s own tracks.”

You can stream and download FlyLo’s tribute to Dilla — fittingly entitled “Still Here” — in its entirety over at dublab.
