Drake Will Receive The Key to the City of Toronto
Drake is making his city proud.
Yet another win for Drake. With Views From The 6ix billboards popping up in Toronto and his recent single “Summer Sixteen” breaking personal sales records, it has been formally announced that Drake will receive Toronto’s “Key to the City.” The mayor of Toronto broke the news, taking to Twitter to do so. “Tomorrow I’ll give out the Key to the City,” he tweeted earlier today. Explaining his decision to do so, he attached a video statement to the message. Check out Toronto Mayor John Tory’s full message about Drake below. Toronto city councillor Norm Kelly lso congratulated Drake, proclaiming, “No Torontonian is more deserving.”
