Zaha Hadid Architects to Design Two New Oslo Metro Line Stations

Zaha Hadid Architects has joined forces with Norwegian firm A_Lab to design two new metro stations in Oslo, Norway. The new projects will be the Fornebu Senter and Fornbuporten stations, two of the six planned stops for the Oslo Fornebubanen metro route.
The two stations are designed to reflect Norway’s glacial landscapes with a fluid transition from street level to the underground and special consideration of natural light. The Fornebu Senter station will feature a public plaza space, whereas the Fornbuporten station will host two civic spaces — a layered, orthogonal pavilion to the south and an oval canopy with a community park to the north.
