Nike Kyrie 5 "Little Mountain" PE Honors the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe
Worn during the Celtics’ 56-point blowout against the Bulls.
Following the Boston Celtics’ 56-point win over the Chicago Bulls this weekend, Nike shared a closer look at Kyrie Irving‘s special Nike Kyrie 5 PE. Dubbed “Little Mountain,” the bright colorway pays homage to the Standing Rock Sioux tribe. The tongue’s Standing Rock Sioux Tribal seal is a nod to Kyrie’s late mom, Elizabeth Ann Larson, who was an enrolled member of the tribe. The “Little Mountain” nickname – officially given to Kyrie back in August – is also featured on the toe box as an additional nod to the aforementioned tribe.
