JAY-Z Accidentally Played Drake's "Back 2 Back" Diss for Meek Mill

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill recently did an interview with Tidal’s Elliot Wilson for his CRWN interview series. While Meek’s recent album Championships and prison reform remained the focus of much of the discussion, Meek still managed to throw in some interesting narratives from over the years.

One of the most memorable was during a dinner date with Beyoncé and JAY-Z from a few years ago. Meek and his then-girlfriend Nicki Minaj accidentally played Drake’s Meek-diss track “Back 2 Back.”

As Meek states in the interview: “Hov got the playlist. He clicking through sh*t. He clicking through, ‘Back to Back’ come on by mistake while we at the table,” he states. “I’m like oh sh*t. What the f*ck? So Beyoncé and Hov and Nicki, everybody just looking like they don’t know what the f*ck is going on.”

Meek went on to say that he was stunned by the fact that he was the only one who felt awkward stating “I’m like, ‘God d*mn. What the f*ck?’ I don’t know if they remember that, but sh*t I remember that, it was crazy as sh*t.”

Meek went on to touch base on ending his beef with Drake and about working together on Championships stating “me and Drake been contacting each other for a year…I’m not with the fake sh*t and act like I’m cool with you just to do a record. I want you to know it’s not that.”
