Heron Preston & Carhartt WIP Prep Reimagined Workwear Capsule
Releasing at a Tokyo pop-up.
To celebrate his upcoming sustainability-focused workshops with Chen and Kai Williams in Tokyo, Heron Preston is initially releasing his Fall/Winter 2018 collaboration with Carhartt WIP in Japan.
Based on the New York designer’s vision of workwear, the capsule is comprised of jackets, vests, long- and short sleeve T-shirts, pants, beanies and a rugged take on the waist pack. Anchored around his signature ”СТИЛЬ” logo, Heron looks to use this collaboration to shine light on how Carhartt’s functional clothing has become a staple in streetwear. Notable items like the Chore Coat, Payton Vest and Double Knee Pants are subjected to wash and paint processes to accentuate the tough construction of the pieces; additional decorations come in the form of orange trim that’s synonymous with the Heron Preston brand.
The Carhartt WIP x Heron Preston FW18 capsule will be available at the upcoming Tokyo pop-up December 15. With a release at NUBIAN, GR8, cherry, Revolution, and Heron Preston’s Hong Kong Flagship December 17. There will also be a wider drop at select retailers like HBX to follow in the future.
