Adele is Accused of Stealing From Popular Kurdish Song
The similarities are apparent.

When we listened to “Million Years Ago” off Adele‘s latest record-breaking album 25, we couldn’t help much notice how familiar the melody of the song was. However, we were unable to pinpoint exactly where we’ve heard it from before. Recently, Turkish netizen users accused the British pop star of stealing from the late Kurdish singer Ahmet Kaya’s popular tune “Acilara Tutunmak (Clinging to Pain),” which was recorded 30 years ago. The singer’s widow, Gulten, disagreed with the accusations because she feels that a globally recognized star like Adele would not do such a thing, but “if she consciously did it, then it would be theft.” Take a listen to both songs below and let us know if you hear the resemblance.
