Kendrick Lamar Leads List of Nominees for 2019 Grammy Awards
Drake, Travis Scott and others are also up for awards.

The list of nominees for the 2019 Grammy Awards has been revealed, with Kendrick Lamar leading the pack with eight nominations.
Specifically, Kendrick Lamar is being nominated for album of the year for the Black Panther soundtrack, record of the year, best song written for visual media and song of the year for “All the Stars” with SZA, best rap performance and best rap song for “King’s Dead” with Future, Jay Rock and James Blake and more. Following closely behind Kendrick Lamar is Drake with seven nominations, having picked up nods for best rap performance for “Nice For What,” best rap song and song of the year for “God’s Plan,” album of the year for Scorpion and more.
Also worth nothing: Nipsey Hussle earned a nomination for best rap album for Victory Lap, Travis Scott is up for best rap album for Astroworld, Anderson .Paak earned a nomination for best rap performance for “Bubblin,” H.E.R. and Daniel Caesar’s “Best Part” is nominated for best R&B performance, H.E.R. and Cardi B’s recent albums are up for album of the year, Mac Miller’s Swimming received a posthumous nomination for best rap album and Jorja Smith is nominated in the best new artist category.
