'What's Inside' Gives Us a Tour of a $3 Million USD Doomsday Bunker

In the latest episode of ‘What’s Inside‘ Lincoln and Dan take us on a tour inside one of the more expensive doomsday bunkers offered in the United States. Built around a decommissioned missile silo, the entire bunker runs 190 feet underground and contains luxurious amenities such as a rock-climbing wall, swimming pool, shooting range, movie theatre, an arcade, gym, dog kennel, school, and library.

To make sure the bunker was equipped with everything a small population would required during a doomsday scenario, specialists from NASA were recruited to ensure crucial things like a dentist office, a renewable power supply, volcanic ash remover, water and air purifier, and jail were set in place. In the food department, 5 years worth of canned and freeze dried foods pad the pantry, on top of the facility’s two floors of vegetable growing space, and fish hatchery.

While the 12 unique silos have already been sold some time ago, for around $1.5 million – $3 million USD each, the ‘What’s Inside’ tour gives us a good idea of what’s required to keep a small civilization alive in a post-apocalyptic scenario.
