Off-White™ Releases Édouard Manet Painting Outerwear
Drawing parallels between art and fashion.
Continuing his ties to the art world, Virgil Abloh drew from impressionist artist Édouard Manet for Off-White™‘s Resort 2019 outwear offerings.
The Panelled Parka and Packable Hood Poncho re-envision functional garment codes with a distinct style-focused approach. Drawing parallels between the art and fashion worlds, each piece is crafted from lightweight nylon and decorated with a repeating Manet print that touches on the romantic and ethereal themes associated with the 17th-century impressionist period. Allowing the print to stand proudly, branding on the outerwear pieces comes in the form of rubberized patches stitched in obscure areas on the arms and rear.
Priced at $1,565 and $2,234 USD, Off-White™’s FW18 Édouard Manet painting outerwear is available now at matchesfashion.com.
