New Balance is set to bring back its trail and hiking-influenced 801 silhouette in its original colorway to celebrate the sneaker’s 20th anniversary. The all-terrain silhouette, first released in 1998, mixes elements from trail and running.
The original colorway sees the sneaker’s upper wrapped in light grey, complete with black panelling around the heel and toe box, and yellow pops of color on the tongue, laces and outsole. The sneaker is then finished with a hard-wearing tread and ABZORB cushioning. Take an up-close look at the sneaker in Notre‘s recent editorial, and expect the re-released New Balance 801 to land exclusively at the Chicago-based retailer and its web store on November 10.
In related news, New Balance also has a KITH x nonnative collaboration on the way.

The New Balance 801 is back for its twentieth anniversary in its OG colorway. To celebrate its return, we took the sneaker hiking in the woods to test its “all-terrain” tread and ABZORB cushioning against something other than a sidewalk. Available exclusively through Notre starting Saturday, November 10 at 11am in-store and online. — #newbalance #notrechicago
