Malik Yusef Announces '808s & Heartbreak' Anniversary Tour
Currently without the attendance of Kanye West.
This month officially marks a decade since Kanye West released 808s & Heartbreak. As a celebration, the album will make a few stops on a commemorative anniversary tour. A frequent collaborator of West, Malik Yusef revealed the tour will take place in 2019 with a total of 15 dates. Unfortunately, Kanye will not be in attendance, but instead local artists will be selected from each city, via a voting system, to perform.
In a recent discussion with Pitchfork, Yusef stated that West gave him the green light to launch this project. “I don’t do anything without Kanye’s blessing.” Malik will also serve as the tour’s emcee with its first stop in Los Angeles and New York as the closer.
Stay tuned for further developments on the forthcoming 808s & Heartbreak tour. In other ‘Ye news, the adidas YEEZY 500 “Salt” arrives this week.
