Ahead of this weekend’s Saturday Night Live performance, Travis Scott stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Sitting down with Fallon for a brief conversation, the Astroworld artist opens up about his artist name, being a musical guest on SNL, playing instruments, creative pursuits as a teenager and his longtime interest in theater — including his high school participation in the Thespian Society. Travis Scott also told Fallon that he would “definitely” be willing to take the Broadway stage one day.

“My dad bought me a drum set when I was like three years old … I tried the piano, I tried a lot of instruments,” Travis Scott shares with Fallon. “Picking up the drums taught me beats.”

Notably, Travis Scott also went through a “Jamba Juice taste challenge” for The Tonight Show. Referencing some of the rapper’s recent bars about the smoothie chain, Fallon put him through a three-drink taste test.

Travis Scott’s most recent release was the “Neighbor” single with Juicy J.
