Lil Wayne is back on top thanks to the long-overdue album Tha Carter V. According to Billboard, Tha Carter V pulled in 480,000 equivalent album units within the week that concluded on October 4. The September 28 release also comes in as the third-largest week for an album this year and the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album with 433 million streams. The 23-track effort features the likes of XXXTENTACION, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and a few others. In addition to the album, Lil Wayne also joined forces with a selection of designers such as Heron Preston, Advisory Board Crystals and Cactus Plant Flea Market to release limited merch ahead of its release.
