Lil Wayne is back on top thanks to the long-overdue album Tha Carter V. According to Billboard, Tha Carter V pulled in 480,000 equivalent album units within the week that concluded on October 4. The September 28 release also comes in as the third-largest week for an album this year and the second-biggest streaming week ever for an album with 433 million streams. The 23-track effort features the likes of XXXTENTACION, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and a few others. In addition to the album, Lil Wayne also joined forces with a selection of designers such as Heron Preston, Advisory Board Crystals and Cactus Plant Flea Market to release limited merch ahead of its release.

Chime in and let us know your thoughts on Tha Carter V and if the album was worth the extended wait. In other music news, you can find out why Drake wasn’t featured on the project in addition to seeing Wayne perform “Dedicate” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
