Setting a precedent amongst its peers, 1984 marked the inaugural release of the eponymously-named fashion house’s Perry Ellis America diffusion line. Undoubtedly the first of its kind, this collaborative venture with Levi’s delved into American sportswear through a unique vantage point that fused luxury design into everyday classics. Having been discontinued years ago, for 2018, Perry Ellis has delved into its archives to bring its heritage to life with the revival of Perry Ellis America. And at the forefront of the relaunch is the artist and athlete Cordell Broadus, whose unbound creative prowess connects to the ethos of the collection’s inaugural campaign.
