Questlove just breathed life into one of the greatest Prince anecdotes ever. Last November, Questlove tweeted that Prince once “fired him from a DJ gig” and replaced him with a DVD of Finding Nemo. To celebrate his birthday today, Questlove has linked up with Okayplayer to turn the incredible story into an even better animated short. Introducing viewers to the piece, Okayplayer calls it, “a story filled with the magic powers of The Purple One, Nigerian Afrobeat god Fela Kuti, Finding Nemo, and a hot pink stretch Hummer.” Sounds like this should take up many, many viewings.
