Léon Bara's Fall/Winter 2018 Collection Channels Post-War Japan
Reimagining cultural garb and traditional service gear.

For the Fall/Winter 2018 season, London-based label Léon Bara brings its eclectic mix of upscale casual-meets-technical sportswear vibes and presents it in a new lookbook editorial reminiscent of post-war Japan. The aim was to reinterpret traditional Japanese garb and American service uniforms in such a way that called out to modern menswear enthusiasts — ones appreciative of both heritage and functionality.
Black mixes in with deep hues of red, green and blue as statement outerwear pairs alongside pleated trousers — successfully blurring the line between seasonal casual and refined sophistication. Standout pieces from the collection include the kimono-style Happi jacket, the multi-pocketed Tote vest, the uniquely lapeled Spy Coat and the belt fastener-bearing Station Jacket V2, amongst others.
