Apple Will Combine iTunes Radio With Apple Music This Month
Making Beats 1 the sole streaming radio service from Apple.

Following rumors circulating last month that Beats 1 Radio may be extended with four additional stations, it seems like the tech giant will be making further strides forward in bolstering Apple Music’s user base. Announced via email to iTunes customers, Apple will be discontinuing iTunes Radio as of January 29. The service is currently supported with advertisements, but will be integrated into Apple Music where a subscription at $10 USD per month provides ad-free radio streaming via Beats 1. This is, most likely, the company’s strategy to increase Apple Music subscribers, making Beats 1 its only streaming radio option. You can read the email from Apple in its entirety below.
As a listener of ad-supported radio on Apple Music, we want you to know that it’s being discontinued on 29 of January.
