Iggy Pop Announces New Album, Connects With Josh Homme for New Single "Gardenia"
One of rock’s greatest underground kings is back.
Earlier in the week, news broke that Iggy Pop and Eagles of Death Metal/Queen of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme secretly cooked up an entire album together. Last night, the pair took to Colbert to officially break the news and introduce their new outfit. Entitled Post Pop Depression, the project is said to be largely inspired by Iggy Pop’s classic Lust for Life sound. “Gardenia,” the LP’s first single, was premiered during a live performance that coincided with Iggy Pop and Josh Homme’s Colbert appearance. You can give “Gardenia” a spin above. Post Pop Depression will arrive on March 18.
