Dr. Martens & Tate Britain Release JMW Turner Collection for Spring/Summer 2018
The British boot imprint spotlights the English Romanticist painter.

Dr. Martens has teamed up with the Tate Britain on a Spring/Summer 2018 collection that features the artwork of renowned English Romanticist painter Joseph Mallord William Turner (JMW Turner).
Two of Turner’s most celebrated works of art — The Decline of the Carthaginian Empire (c. 1817) and Fishermen at Sea (c. 1796) — are printed on Dr. Marten’s classic 8-eye Pascal boot, which is constructed of a crackled Cristal suede leather that gives the effect of a real painted canvas. Each pair of boots comes packaged in a bespoke box that includes one of Turner’s famous watercolors and an in-box booklet. Also part of the range is a small leather backpack, an 11-inch leather satchel and a print T-shirt featuring Turner’s artwork.
The Dr. Martens x Tate Britain JMW Turner collection is available now in-store and online at Dr. Marten’s web store. For more art news, check out JR’s “GIANTS” solo exhibit at London’s Lazinc Gallery.
