Bun B Calls Out The Oscars for Robbing People
“Ice Cube you and your team were robbed”
The Oscar nominations were announced last night and many are sounding off on social media about artists that just simply aren’t getting any love. Houston Rap legend Bun B let it be known on his Twitter account last night where he (and many others) vented about Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” getting snubbed despite its success and impact in 2015. Not to mention Idris Elba’s memorable performance in Beats Of No Nation, and of course 2015’s biggest biopic Straight Outta Compton, where not even one single actor got a nod. Check out series of Tweets from Bun B on the matter.
Name me a movie that had a song that summoned more emotion from viewers that See You Again. @wizkhalifa was robbed.

I don’t even wanna start in on the fact that one of the best biopics in years was snubbed as well. @icecube you and your team were robbed.

I don’t know if it is because it was a Netflix film or that no one in Hollywood cared about the subject matter but @idriselba was robbed.

I am super happy for @theweeknd for his nomination though. He absolutely deserves his nomination. And the success that followed as well.

The Big Short deserves to be in the running for best film. Adam McKay has finally been given the credit he so dearly deserves.
