A First Look at the 'We Margiela' Documentary
Margiela marks the 20th anniversary of its very first museum exhibition.
Twenty years after staging its first-ever exhibition, Maison Margiela is returning to Rotterdam’s Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen by way of a brand new documentary. Dubbed We Margiela, the upcoming piece — helmed by Mint Film Office — is set to offer an in-depth look at the notoriously tight-lipped atelier as the likes of the late Jenny Meirens shed light on the label’s inner-workings and Belgian namesake. Other members of Margiela’s creative team offer their insights, too, as the film utilizes a bevy of interviews and archival material to highlight Margiela’s creativity and philosophy.
