Creative director duo Lucie (formerly at Dior, Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton) and Luke Meier (of OAMC and formerly Supreme) made their Jil Sander runway debut during Milan Fashion Week’s Spring/Summer 2018 Ready-to-Wear bracket. The catwalk took place in an expansive outdoors patio of Zaha Hadid Architects‘ new Milan tower, under the synchronized glow of the Italian sunset.

The venue’s stoic modernity set the tone of the Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which saw the label’s signature minimalism softened with a touch of romanticism. Airy, voluminous proportions gave an ethereal feel to the otherwise sculptural silhouettes, rustic crochet details added a vintage element to the crisp designs, and warm olives, tans, creams — and the occasional pastel hue — visited the label’s quintessential black & white palette. The men’s side features many freshly-pressed Oxford shirts, avant-garde takes on classic tailoring, billowing sleeves and fringed net layers.
