In efforts to help challenge the traditional skate contest status quo, Dime brought forth its “Glory Challenge” a couple of years back — gaining all kinds of traction in the skate culture community. Once again converging upon the bustling city of Montreal, 50 of the very best riders from around the world, including Dennis Busenitz, Wes Kremer, Jamal Smith and others, were handpicked to duke it out in a series of grueling challenges.
With a purse of $1 million CAD (approximately $821,900 USD) up for grabs, contestants took part in such events, as the “Speed Challenge,” “Gangster Challenge,” “Volcano Challenge,” “Gladiator Challenge,” amongst a whole host of others. With the crowd cheering on their favorites, excitement reached feverish highs, as skill, danger, scrapes, sweat and blood surfaced throughout the competition.
