The Deplar Farm resort is the latest venue in Iceland to provide visitors with a close-up look at the country in all its splendour. Based in northern Iceland’s Troll Peninsula, the place has a former sheep farm, thirteen en-suite rooms and — most importantly — great views overlooking nearby lakes and rivers.
There’s also a full spa, snowmobiling, heli-skiing and even a view of the Northern Lights via a geothermal infinity pool. The rooms themselves are also a treat, with kingsize beds, remote-controlled blackout blinds and floor-to-ceiling windows perfect for taking in the Icelandic landscapes. You can book the resort for yourself via the Eleven Experience web site.
