Geoff McFetridge Details His Passion for Biking in New "Rapha Rides" Video
“LA is an amazing place for cycling in a way that is so hard to describe.”
All-around artist and filmmaker Geoff McFetridge is the subject of a new picturesque video by cycling mainstay, Rapha. As part of the company’s Rapha Rides campaign, McFetridge relays his intimate thoughts on why biking the streets of Los Angeles, California is unlike any other place to traverse on two wheels.
The artist shuns the city at first, calling it “the worst place for tourists.” However, he immediately digresses saying that folks visiting the sunny locale need to get through its “first layer”—the cliche spots such as the Griffith Observatory, Hollywood sign, as well as the beaches. In order to do that, according to McFetridge, you must go cycling in LA.
“How do you read a place by looking at the space between the things it appears to be? The bicycle travels in that space and LA is an amazing place for cycling in a way that is so hard to describe,” said McFetridge. Nonetheless, watch the video above and head over to the Rapha Rides landing page to learn more about the campaign.
