Research Firm, IDC recently released a report showing that AR/VR markets were on the rise and expected to surge over the next few years, leaving people wondering if a pair of Apple augmented reality glasses could be in the works for a near-future debut. In a recent article, Fast Company made a point that the release of Apple’s watch and Air Pods were indicators of a move away from handheld smartphones to tech which would be more integrated with the body. Considering Apple’s knack for harmonious software and hardware design, and what could be learned from Google Glass’ downfalls, the company may be the most promising to deliver the first consumer ready AR experiences.
