Lonzo Ball Ditches Big Baller Brand for Nike, Shows out in Front of LeBron James
“Just do it.”

After Lonzo Ball was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, Big Baller Brand unveiled a pair of his signature ZO2 sneakers decked out in the West Coast team’s signature colors of purple, gold and white. As his signature shoe, you would expect Lonzo to be seen rocking the silhouette on-and-off the courts, but during their appearance on the Sneaker Shopping series it was clarified by LaVar Ball that Lonzo is free to wear whatever kicks he may please while his father would remain 100% loyal to the “BBB” logo.
The Nike Kobe A.D. “Purple Stardust” were the shoes of choice in Lonzo’s recent game against the Philadelphia 76ers and the former UCLA Bruin did not disappoint. Ball racked up an impressive 36 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals as LeBron James watched on the baseline. King James shared his thoughts on Ball’s Swoosh switch via his Instagram with Nike’s famous tagline “Just Do It.”
Earlier this year, it was reported that LaVar Ball turned down a $10 million USD Nike deal for Lonzo, which explains the ton of speculation surrounding the simple sneaker change.
