Watch Andy Serkis Read Trump Tweets Gollum Style
For some of us, Andy Serkis will always be Gollum.
From Lord of the Rings to Planet of the Apes, Andy Serkis will always be best known for his role as Gollum. Stephen Colbert, who had Serkis as a guest during Tuesday’s Late Show, requested a dramatic reading from the famous character to read one of Trump’s tweets; the actor immediately jumped up on his chair and poked fun at the “fake news media” tweet. The main highlight was when Colbert asked Serkis to read the “covfefe” tweet which Serkis couldn’t help but tag on a little improvisation — “What’s covfefe, precious?”
Serkis read the following as Gollum:
The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty. Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!
