Reports Suggest Darth Vader May Appear in the New 'Han Solo' Film
“Don’t choke on your aspirations.”
The man behind the mask of Darth Vader and the most memorable moment in Rouge One: A Star Wars Story may appear in the next anthology film. Spencer Wilding, the man who played Vader in Rouge One may reprise his role in the Han Solo film, according to reports.
Wilding was scheduled to make an appearance at Fandomfest in Louisville, KY, but now the site lists him under cancellation. It specifically states that he is “filming the newest film in the Star Wars Universe.” Although the film is meant to take place before A New Hope and certainly leaves room for Vader to make an appearance, it doesn’t mean Wilding will make an appearance as film’s most iconic villain. Since Vader dons a helmet, it’s possible the actor could be playing another character entirely.
The cancellation is likely due to the delayed filming of the Han Solo project, which saw directors Lord and Miller splitting from the project deep into production and being replaced by Ron Howard.
