Cult classic Wet Hot American Summer is back — ten years later. Actually, its been sixteen years since the original movie premiered in theaters. Now, Netflix has reprised the comedic camp-based picture and turned it into an eight-part television series. The upcoming show serves as a sequel to both the ‘01 film and the 2015 prequel Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. When Camp Firewood has its 10-year reunion, the campers and counselors return to embark on more mayhem at their fictional Maine summer camp. It’ll be interesting to see what everyone is doing in their professional and personal lives. Michael Ian Black, Molly Shannon, Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, and Michael Showalter join new cast members Alyssa Milano, Adam Scott, Samm Levine, and more in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later.
Look for the series to stream on Netflix beginning August 4.
