Balmain's 2018 Spring/Summer Collection Continues to Reinvent the Embellished Rockstar
Featuring victorian era details, tie-dyes, yacht-club stripes, and leather, lots of leather.

Olivier Rousteing took to Paris Fashion Week to unveil Balmain‘s massive, 80 outfits-deep 2018 spring/summer collection. With the fashion house’s last showing possibly its most eclectic under the young Frenchmen, this season’s presentation begins with a return to the Rousteing’s signature clash of ornate, victorian era details over the wardrobe essentials of a rockstar. Before concluding in similar fashion, models sported something we haven’t seen from Balmain in years: tie-dye; while yacht club-appropriate stripes and crests appear alongside beige-colored safari jackets. It’s not an enormous deviation from Olivier’s modus operandi, but what’s the point when he does it so well?
